The early bird..
..gets the worm. Planning a trip to Vienna in summer? I´d recommend to go between June and September, for this will ensure a visit at upcoming ‘Fish and Chips, Twice Please?!’ – an exhibition on British fashion design, which is curated by Emma Bell (Daniel already introduced her here). On view there are both designer pieces and visuals, performing arts, photographic work, and various installations on the subject of fashion. Just to name a few, works by Charlie Le Mindu (clients: Peaches and Florence and the Machine), Craig Lawrence (Skunk Anansie), Louise Gray, Piers Atkinson, Scott Ramsay Kyle (Björk, James Long, and Emma Cook), and Dashing Tweeds have been chosen. And wait – there`s more to it than that: Including contributions by Alexis Knox (editor of Notion Magazine), Matthew Brindle and Thom Will representing British fashion photography, the show will be topped off with workshops, open studios, lectures, and special events for students.
I`m keen on having a look at this encouraging show…and expect you have already booked your next flight to Vienna. See ya in summer!
