Sand People

Sand People is a project initiated by stylist Adia Trischler and photographer Andreas Waldschütz: The photo AND film shoot in a Namibian ghost town was arranged to explore the relationship between environment and personal development seen through the lens of fashion.
Due to the very unique location of the lonely ruins in the desert, the relation between the location and people of the desert finds its expression through the outstanding selection of upcoming fashion talents: UNA BURKE, FFLUR, GEORGE BEZHANISHVILI, ARA JO, LAEND PHUENGKIT.

We as a team are uninterested in developing another fashion editorial that is out of sync with the space around it, and does not aim to develop an idea past showcasing the latest trend.

Sand People will be showing a multi-media exhibition during the 10 Festival of Fashion and Photography which will take place between June 7 and 17, 2010 in Vienna
