Sand People is a project initiated by stylist Adia Trischler and photographer Andreas Waldschütz: The photo AND film shoot in a Namibian ghost town was arranged to explore the relationship between environment and personal development seen through the lens of fashion.

With Berlin fashion week kicking off today, the fashion jet-set is in for a bit of relaxation after the straining days in Milano and Paris. Even if menswear fashion weeks are, generally speaking, by far less exhausting than their pendant féminins. Anyhow, with Projektgalerie Showroom open from today until July 3rd, there’s a great new collaboration to be discovered that had been announced quite some time ago. As it were, we hinted at the project just some days ago, but now it is finally out and about to hit the, uhm, dancefloor. Wendy & Jim teamed up with DJ Hell and will rock your underwear cupboard with their exciting fashion-meets-music-is-sexy collaboration. Out now. Things happened at the speed of ligtht (or almost) when fibre optic cables were the carriers of a very touching bit of information at the end of last week. After the King of Pop had died, people turned to internet platforms for information and to express their feelings of grieving.
Meanwhile in Vienna, some pop culture affiliates (led by publisher Niko Alm) were quick to figure out their way of paying tribute to Michael Jackson. So they organised a Mass Moonwalk flash mob that took place less than 24 hours after the pop icon had died in front of Vienna’s landmark Karlskirche.
